Orchard Hills teachers true professionals! They are always trying to develop their teaching skills to benefit their students.  Each month teachers are trained during a literacy or math collaboration meeting taught by district coaches.  The materials presented are then used in the classroom.  As one teacher said, "If we want our students to be life long learners, we need to set an example."

SafeUT Awareness Days February 22 & 23

In light of the recent events in Florida and other tragedies that have happened around the country, Nebo School District is teaming up with KSL on February 22, 2018, as we Stand Up for a Safe Utah. Utah has a very powerful resource and that is the SafeUT app. As you all know, the SafeUT app provides real-time crisis intervention and has been proven to save lives and stopped planned school attacks.

Our goal is to make sure that every parent, student and educator is aware of the app and has it downloaded on their phone.

Tim Lowry a professional storyteller withTimpanogos Storytelling came to Orchard Hills.  The students loved the stories that he shared with them.  He made it very engaging for the students as he used actions, voices, and involved the students.  He then met with a couple classes where he taught the students how to tell a good story and what the components are: people, setting, and problem.
