The Orchard Hills Cougar Choir performed for the school and their parents. They did so great and they have been practicing after school for the last few months. Mrs. Kathy Kelley directs the choir and Mrs. Mary Robins accompanies them.

Dustin Hansen, author and illustrator of the series Microsaurs, came and visited Mrs. McMullin’s class. Mrs. McMullin read the first book of the series to her class and her students loved the book. They were excited to meet the special guest and he even signed their books and bookmarks. He talked about the steps of writing a story and they got to help give him ideas for the next book he’s writing.
The second grade classes went to Farm Field Days. They loved learning about farming and agriculture in their community!

Sixth graders traveled to BYU to visit their planetarium and then to Classic Skate to get some exercise!
Orchard Hills has earned EPA’s Energy Star! Over the past three years an “Energy Incentive” has been offered to each school. The certification process isn’t easy. Air quality, lighting quality, and the overall Energy Use Index readings and calculations of each facility are taken into account. Data is then gathered and compared. We then receive a score based on the grading criteria.
For the 2018 season, Lagoon will be introducing the “Summer Fever Fundraiser”. We are hoping to seize the excitement for summer by giving students and families a jump starts on Summer Fun at Lagoon.
