Butterflies

For the last few weeks the second grade classes and the students in the library have learned about and watched the Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterflies.  The students would get so excited to watch the cycle and some were lucky enough to see as the butterflies came out of the chrysalis.  

Johnny Appleseed Day

The first grade classes celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day.  They made Johnny Appleseed out of raisins, applesauce, and juice.  They had rotations with games and math. They also watched a Johnny Appleseed movie and sang apple songs! It was fun for all!

New Student Lunch

Students who are new to Orchard Hills this year were able to attend the New Student Lunch with Mr. Murray.  Welcome to Orchard Hills!  We are so glad you are here.

 

Orchard Hills 10th Birthday

Orchard Hills celebrated its 10th birthday with a fun party.  The Santaquin Fire Department brought a firetruck and the Police Department also came and brought some police cars.  The Santaquin Royalty came too.  There was lots of dancing, cake, face painting, chalk, games, and more.  Yoeli Childs and Steven Beo from the BYU Basketball team also came to celebrate with us.  A big thank you to those who put this on and also thank you to all those who came.  It was a lot of fun! 

Donna Baller Receives High Five Award

Donna Baller "Nana" received the High 5 award by Lori Prichard and the KSL News Crew It was pretty exciting and  the story will be aired on Thursday at 5:15am and 6:45am So give her a HIgh 5 when you see her. Congratulations!Donna has been volunteering at our school, Orchard Hills Elementary for four years now. She has worked in kindergarten and first grade. She will do copies, cutting lamination, working with children or adults, working with math books, just about anything you want her to do.  She has worked in Mrs.

Visit from Returning Soldiers

Blair Jasperson and Brian Nilson returned home from Kuwait on Saturday August 27th after 11 months of service.  Orchard Hills wanted to thank them for their service.  Blair Jasperson has three children attending Orchard Hills: Presley, Taylor, and Bailey.  Brian Nilson has two children attending Orchard Hills: Michael and Kylie.
