Submitted by riley.winward on

Last night, fifth grade had their DARE graduation! DARE is a program offered to all 5th grade students at Orchard Hills. It is taught by Officer Bell from the Santaquin Police Dept., and is designed to teach students about making safe and responsible choices, being kind to others, being good citizens in their community, and the risks involved with underage drinking and drug use.

2nd Grade Experiences Christmas Around the World!

Submitted by riley.winward on

Our 2nd grade classes are learning about different cultures and countries this month.

We enjoyed a wonderful presentation by our friend, Mrs. Esquerra about her Native American tribe from Arizona.  Her tribe is known for their expert basket weaving.  She also told us some folktales and showed us some musical instruments that she found at a Pow Wow.

Reflections 2018

Submitted by riley.winward on

A few weeks ago, there was an assembly to recognize all the students who participated in Reflections, and those who won in each of the categories! We also got to see some amazing and entertaining performances! We have some very talented students at our school, and we are so excited for those who advanced to the next round!

Gobble Off 2018!

Submitted by riley.winward on

We had our annual Orchard Hills Gobble Off today! It is such a fun tradition, and is always very entertaining. :) One participant from every class was picked to gobble in the Gobble Off. They competed with their grade level, and the winner of that round went on to the K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade competitions. Each class winner won a toy turkey, grade level winners received a trophy, and the 2 overall winners won a gift card for a turkey! Good job to all who participated! We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
