Today, fifth graders learned about and reflected on the events that occured on September 11th and the days that followed. They participated in class discussions, wrote letters to local police and firefighters, and made flag pins to help them remember the things they will learn about in American history this year, and to appreciate those who sacrificed on this day 17 years ago.

Mr. Rick Wall won the Horace Mann Outstanding Classified Employee Award. Mr. Wall is an amazing custodian at Orchard Hills! He is always smiling and saying hello to everyone and he is always willing to help. He keeps the school very clean and everyone notices how nice the school looks. We sure appreciate him and all he does at Orchard Hills. Congratulations Mr. Wall!
The fourth graders sure had a lot of fun at their Mountain Man Rendezvous!
The kindergartners of the year 2017-2018 have graduated and are so excited to move on to first grade! We are sad to see them go but they have worked so hard and have accomplished so much this year. Good luck to them!

We were able to listen to the Orchard Hills Orchestra yesterday. They sounded great! They have worked so hard all year and we love listening to them. Thanks to Mrs. Drager for her hard work too.
