The Payson Junior High Choir came and performed at Orchard Hills. They are all so talented, and their hard work was very apparent! Thank you for coming!
We had a room full of Cougar Pride winners at the Rootbeer Float Party today! Students can receive Cougar Paws from their teachers by being kind, helping, showing positive behavior, being a good friend, and through many other ways. When a child gets a Cougar Paw, they take it to the office and their name is added to the Cougar Pride Board. These kids were chosen from the board to come to the party. We are so proud of our cougars and the PAWSitive choices they make! We can't wait for our next party!
Next week is National School Breakfast Week! See the flyer for more details!
Mrs. Andrew's first grade learned about measurement this week!
Family Literacy Night was a huge hit! Orchard Hills students and thier families enjoyed Dr. Seuss themed games and activities such as bingo, slime making, minute to win it games, a family photo booth, make-and-takes, a service opportunity, and picking out a book to take home! Thank you to all the families who came!
Miss Winward's class launched film canister rockets using different "rocket feul" combinations! They learned that by mixing different reactants (things that go into chemical reactions), you can get different products (things that are created in chemical reactions). They tested water, vinegar, soda, Alka-Seltzer, and baking soda to try and find the most successful products for launching. Some reactants even caused the rockets to reach the ceiling! We have some rocket scientists on our hands!
