The kindergarten classes just finished talking and learning about community helpers.  They were able to have a couple community helpers come and talk to them about what they do.  A couple firemen came along with some of those that work with the ambulance.  They talked about what they do and they taught about safety.  The kindergartners practiced Stop, Drop, and Roll.  They were able to look at the fire truck and also walk through the ambulance.  Thank you to our many community helpers!

Ballet West Company came to Orchard Hills and they talked to the students about being fit and having good posture. They told about how hard they work but you can't see it on their faces. They try very hard to make it look easy. They also talked about good balance and form. They modeled what you would see in a ballet class and talked about different positions of ballet.
