Welcome Back, Orchard Hills!
We can't wait to see you!
We can't wait to see you!
The fifth grade performed their Hope of America program last week at the Marriot Center! They have been practicing the past few months, and had the chance to perform with other schools from around Utah. It was so fun, and it was awesome to sing patriotic songs about our contry, state, and the people who serve our country.
Sixth grade had a spelling bee! Many students participated, and the winners were Devon Hansen (1st), Kathy Morgan (2nd), and Kaleb DeGraffenried (3rd).
We can't wait for our End of Year Party on Monday, 5/13! We'll see you there!
This year's Staff Appreciation Week was a home run! The theme was "Our Staff has Serious Game," and that couldn't be more true for the staff at our school. Thank you so much to all of you who love and care for the students at Orchard Hills. You are appreciated!
A huge thank you goes out to the PTA, the staff, and the businesses who helped make Staff Appreciation Week so special! Countless hours went into the preparation and execution of this week, and we are so grateful for your thoughtfulness.
We had a room full of Cougar Pride winners at the Rootbeer Float Party this week! Students can receive Cougar Paws from their teachers by being kind, helping, showing positive behavior, being a good friend, and through many other ways. When a child gets a Cougar Paw, they take it to the office and their name is added to the Cougar Pride Board. These kids were chosen from the board to come to the party. We are so proud of our cougars and the PAWSitive choices they make! We can't wait for our next party!
The Orchard Hills Choir did a great job on their Spring Concert! They sounded wonderful, and all their hard work paid off! Thank you so much to Mrs. Kelley and Mrs. Robins for helping our choir learn and succeed!
Orchard Hills Kindergarten Graduation is Friday, May 17th at 10:00 am for all kindergarten students. We are excited to celebrate our growth this year with our families at our special program!
Mr. Craig's students all wrote to different authors, and Nixon Warren, William Mitchell, and Taggart Leatham all received a response from Richard Paul Evans, author of the Michael Vey series! Very cool!
Mrs. Andrew's class performed "contraction surgery." They had a great time!
