February 2022
Literacy Week 2022
Heads up for next week's Literacy Week - March 1-4!
Since next Monday, February 28 is not a school day for students, our Literacy Week activities will begin on Tuesday, March 1. Dress-up days and other activities are planned for the week. Here's a plan so you can help your student be prepared to participate if they choose.
Yearbook Cover Contest
We gave our students the chance to compete to have their drawing as our yearbook cover.
These are all the grade level winners! Everyone did such a great job and that made it hard to choose.
You can order yearbooks now through your parent portal or bring cash or check to the office.
Horace Mann Outstanding Employee
Char Sorensen has been awarded the Horace Mann Outstanding Employee at Orchard Hills!
Chari is spread thin around our school with all the assignments she gets. Orchard Hills is better because of her hard work and team leadership. She shows kindness and love to the students and is always willing to do what she's been asked to do.
Great Job Chari! You are an OUTSTANDING employee!
Karen Allinson awarded Orchard Hills Teacher of the Year
Our very own ESSER Teacher, Karen Allinson, was awarded Orchard Hills Teacher of the Year for 2021-2022!
She, along with all the teachers at Orchard Hills, have put in endless amounts of time and hours into helping our students progress and succeed.
We are grateful for all of her hard work! ♥
