Mrs. Despain (our school counselor) came to each class this month and taught us about not labeling others and being a good friend. Thanks, Mrs. Despain, for the meaningful lesson, and for all the ways in which you help the kids at our school!
People from the Springville Art Museum came to Orchard Hills this week to teach us about art curating! We learned about how art museums choose art to be displayed based on a theme. We then practiced currating our own art collections! Thank you for coming, Springville Art Museum!
Last week, Orchard Hills students had the opportunity to learn about the Village Drill Project. The VIllage Drill is an organization based out of Utah, that builds drill wells in remote villages in Africa, South America, and Asia. It was so interesting to learn about people who don't have access to fresh, running water, and what others are doing to help. Caleb is the Athlete of the Month because of his endurance while playing any game. Even when he is hurt, he will keep playing! Mrs. Darger has to pull Caleb away from games to sit down when he needs a break, other wise he would just play and play! He is such a good example because he is nice to everyone, and is a good helper with anything in gym. Everyone that knows Caleb likes him - he is a likable guy! Congratulations, Caleb! Way to ROCK it!
