The students at Orchard Hills had an assembly where they learned about internet safety.  They were taught and reminded to never give out their personal information online and to tell a trusted adult if they see something that scares them, makes them feel uncomfortable, or confused.  Remember to be smart when you use the internet.  Here is the Net Smart website if you want more information:   http://www.netsmartzkids.org

The first grade classes at Orchard Hills have been learning about habitats and the animals that live in them.  We have studied the desert, rain forest, ocean, and forest.  We researched and wrote reports about different animals.  We invited parents to listen to us read and we also created our animals using various elements of art.  We also presented our reports to our first grade friends.  What a wonderful week!
