Keyboarding Awards

Orchard Hills Elementary held their annual rewards ceremony for keyboarding. Mr. Randy Bartholomew recognized these students for their accomplishments in keyboarding skills.  Top winners are Emme McDowell and Kendra Hancock. Congratulations 4th Graders on a job well done!

Read-A-Thon

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, Orchard Hills Elementary had a school wide read-a-thon.  So fun to have parents and members of the community to come in and read with the students at school!

Kindergarten Field Trip

On March 8th the Orchard Hills Kindergartners went on their first field trip.  What an exciting event.  For most of them the most exciting thing is to ride the bus for the first time.  They went to the Scera in Orem and saw the play Rapunzel.  Afterwards they went to the park to eat lunch and play on the playground.  What a fun day!!

Discovery Gateway

Discovery Gateway came to our school to teach our fifth graders more about matter.  Laura taught the students about physical and chemical changes through a variety of experiments.  Afterwards, the students got to experiment themselves with a few different substances.  The students had a blast and learned a lot!

Sixth-grade Biobodies

Sixth-grade students at Orchard Hills were required to read a biography of their choice.  They then created a biobody of that person and presented to the fourth and fifth graders what they had learned.   

Love the Bus Week

The week of February 11-15 was Love the Bus Week.  The bus drivers got a special Thank You, students learned facts about the buses, and students got to tour the bus.  A big thank you to the great bus drivers we have!!

100th Day of Kindergarten

On Friday, February 8 the kindergartners celebrated the 100th Day of Kindergarten.  They each brought 100 things to show the class. They also were able to see what they could build with 100 cups, 100 cubes, 100 sticks, and 100 domonioes.  What a fun 100th day of school!!

Heart Attack

Mr. Murray was given a heart attack by the first graders.  It was  a fun celebration for their reading activity.
