This year's theme was: "Let your Imagination Fly." Here are the kids who won awards:
On Tuesday, December 9th the Orchard Hills Cougar Choir and Orchestra presented a Christmas concert to the school and later that night to our parents. We played and sang Christmas songs. The students have been working very hard and did an amazing job. Everyone felt just a little more Christmas Spirit that day! Thanks to Tammy Drager, Kathy Kelley, and Lea Knotts for putting the concert together. Merry Christmas to all!
Utah Symphony played for all fourth graders in Nebo School District at Salem Hills High School.
Just before Thanksgiving we had our annual Turkey Gobble Off. Each class had a winner who participated in the grade level Gobble Off. Then there were 2 winners who received a turkey!

The 6th grade Service Committee of the Student Council organized and carried out a food drive. Our school collected over 21 boxes of food weighing a total of 845 pounds. Thanks for all that was donated!
Ms. Esquerra came and talked to the kindergartners a little about some Native Americans. She told some Native American stories about who brings the sun up and how we got the sun. Thanks for coming Ms. Esquerra!
The first grade at Orchard Hills Elementary had an assembly with the Police Department and their drug sniffing dogs. They had a demonstration of their skills and a question and answer session with the students. The dogs were very energetic and fun

Orchard Hills second graders went on a chilly walking field trip last Thursday. The weather may have been chilly,but the students hearts were warm. They visited the Chieftan Museum, America First Credit Union, Santaquin Pharmacy, and the Santaquin City Library. We also performed our Thanksgiving program for the wonderful senior citizens of Santaquin. The 2nd graders put on an impressive show and then walked back to school. Thank you to the Santaquin community for all you do!
The 6th grade orchestra was lucky to have special visitors come to class in November; Dave and Tawna Marsh.
