Orchard Hills Elementary 4th grade teachers learned how to water color as part of the GAINS (Growing Arts In Nebo Schools) program during January. Visual Art Integration, as well as enhanced Music, Dance, and Drama helps connect core concepts in Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies. The fourth grade teachers linked shared reading with water coloring by painting various characters and scenes from selected stories. Through the medium of water color, students have the opportunity to feel like an artist while studying literature.
