We had a room full of Cougar Pride winners at October's donut and chocolate milk party! Students can receive Cougar Paws from their teachers by being kind, helping, showing positive behavior, being a good friend, and through many other ways. When a child gets a Cougar Paw, they take it to the office and their name is added to the Cougar Pride Board. These kids were chosen from the board to come to the party. We are so proud of our cougars and the PAWSitive choices they make! We can't wait for our next party!
Mrs. Dalton received the Nebo PEAK Award! PEAK stands for Positive Energy and Kind employees. PEAK award winners are nominated by patrons and Nebo employees, and are recognized by the Superintendent and Nebo School Board of Education. We love you Dixie! Thank you so much for all the hard work you do at our school, and the care you give to our students!!
First grade learned about fire safety! Thank you to The Santaquin Fire Department and Corey Preston for teaching us all about the great things firefighters do to help and protect us from fires. The first graders loved seeing the ladder raise up and climbing through the fire truck!
We had so any amazing entries for our yearbook cover contest this year! This year's winner is Ellie Barlow in fourth grade! Be on the lookout for her awesome artwork in this year's copy of the yearbook! Nice work, Ellie!
We also had some very talented grade level winners!
For Red Ribbon Week this week, we have been focusing on making good choices! Students have learned, and will continue to learn, about making good choices, taking care of themselves, and being kind. Each class made a banner to hang up in the hall, and they are so fun to look at! We have already had some fun dress up days; Monday was Red Day, and Tuesday was Inside Out Day! The upcoming dress up days are Hat Day on Wednesday, Halloween costumes on Thursday, and Orchard Hills or sports team gear on Friday. Thanks for helping us celebrate Red Ribbon Week!
