Mrs. Kelley’s 2nd grade class had guest readers sharing Dr. Seuss books all week to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday week.  We had so much fun!  Thank you to all our awesome readers!  You all do so much to make our school a great place!

Family Literacy Night 2020

Our annual Family Literacy Night was a huge hit! Orchard Hills students and thier families enjoyed Dr. Seuss themed games and activities such as bingo, Farkle, digital breakouts, minute to win it games, make-and-takes, a service opportunity, cotton candy, and picking out a book to take home! Thank you to all the families who came!

Family Literacy Night and Service Opportunity!

Orchard Hills Elementary Family Literacy Night will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the school.

We are excited about a service opportunity to make "Family Kits" for school children in Ghana, Africa. Some of the items needed are:
full-size bars of soap
washcloths
bandaids
toothbrushes
large tubes of toothpaste
inexpensive solar blankets (under $1)
Children's Multi-Vitamins (not gummy, they melt)

Netsmart Assembly

Students at Orchard Hills enjoyed the Netsmart Assembly last week! The older and younger grades split up, and learned about how to be smart and safe online. They learned that the internet is a powerful tool that can be used for both good and bad, and that they have the power to make good choices while online. You might want to discuss with your child about the things they learned!
