We had the opportunity to "Rock Our Socks" on March 21st in support of World Down Syndrome day.  Mrs. Craig, one of our amazing EEC teachers, said it perfectly:

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the support this day for World Down syndrome day!!! Having days to celebrate all of our amazing students is incredible! Being able to celebrate everyone’s unique difference is truly AMAZING!! Just because some looks different, talks different, walks different, ect. does not mean that you cannot be their friend or play with them!! 

Professional Development Day - No School Wednesday, March 22, 2023!

You may ask, “What do the teachers do on a Teacher Professional Development Day when all the students have it off?” Well, Nebo teachers participate in training and collaboration to strive to do what is best for Nebo students.

We worked on our math skills in a fun way today!! We completed a MARCH MADNESS BRACKET using the logos/mascots of each school!! We made our predictions of who would be the NCAA champion!!! 

We started with 64 teams and subtracted teams one at a time to get us down to our final prediction!! Texas Longhorns!! Through completing this bracket, we were able to practice our subtraction skills, and see if we could correctly subtract the same number multiple times!! What a great and fun way to incorporate real world events into class!! 

PTA's Books and Buddies event was a huge hit!  Students were invited to bring a family member or friend to spend time reading together and enjoy a treat before school during Read Across America Week.  We had so many people attend that our school parking lots were bursting at the seams.  

A huge thank you to our PTA for the delicious lunch they provided to help get our teachers through SEPs.  We appreciate all the PTA does to support our students and staff here at Orchard Hills!

The last day of Read Across America Week might have been our favorite day of all...pajama day!  There is nothing better than being able to wear your pajamas to school on a Friday.  

Friday, March 10th is a District Development Day so there will be NO SCHOOL.
