Mrs. McMullin asked Sandy Wall to come talk to her class about setting SMART goals. Sandy’s daughter, Addley Wall, is in Mrs. McMullin’s class this year. Sandy taught the class to not be afraid to fail. She explained that you will fail more than you will succeed, but through hard work and dedication you can achieve anything.

Sandy, a Payson High School athlete, was inducted into the Nebo Athletic Hall of Fame. As an all-around athlete, Sandy lettered in volleyball and softball for the Payson Lions. She was also named Academic All-State in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She went on to play basketball for four successful years at Utah Valley University.

Mrs. McMullin’s class loved having her come and they each got to wear one of her medals. They promised to never give up!! It was a great way to kick off the 2nd Grade Olympics!
