Students at Orchard Hills enjoyed the Netsmart Assembly last week! The older and younger grades split up, and learned about how to be smart and safe online. They learned that the internet is a powerful tool that can be used for both good and bad, and that they have the power to make good choices while online. You might want to discuss with your child about the things they learned! Some talking points are (1) if they see something that makes them feel sad, scared, or confused, they should talk to a trusted adult, (2) they should not share their name, address or other personal information online, and (3) they can use the internet to make a positive impact on the world, instead of using it to tear people down. Thanks, Netsmart! We learned a lot!
